Cultural Curation & Production
Artist-led events, exhibitions, festivals, screenings, performances, and multidisciplinary cultural programs.
We create spaces for artists to lead—through cultural production, creative collaborations, and experiences that connect art with the issues shaping our world.
Developed in 2015 by filmmaker Lisa Russell in the lead-up to the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit, Create2030 champions artist-led cultural production, collaboration, and social impact. Thomas Gass, then UN Assistant Secretary-General, commissioned Russell to produce a short film profiling artists’ engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals. That early work helped establish a conviction that continues to guide Create2030: Artist-Led Is Best.
Our work brings artists and institutions into conversation through curated experiences, creative projects, workshops, and international exchange. We believe artists belong at the center of the decisions that shape culture—not only on the stage.

We champion meaningful artistic leadership, proper attribution, fair opportunities, and creative work valued beyond the moment of presentation. As the 2027–2036 Decade of Culture approaches, our message is simple: let artists lead.
